well, he's probably okay. It's just that last year when RR came in, Barwis was the equivalent to Weis's "schematic advantage"... there was a lot of talk about how fast and strong and durable the players would be. If it's happening, it hasn't been that apparent.
I think it was Doug Karsch (sp?) on 97.1 who specifically mentioned that Tate was going to get up to 210 pounds of muscle, according to Tate. Well, he still looks like about 180...
No big deal. Let's see what happens over the next couple of years.
But as a buckeye fan I get tired of hearing about the small, young players Michigan has... Ohio State is playing true freshmen every game. Not a lot, but some. this is not the NFL, it's college ball, and that's what happens.
Hope it's a good game tomorrow and hope no-one gets seriously hurt!

Agree with you on the injury point. No reason we need them in this great game. No matter what happens I respect "The Game".
As far as Barwis, he has raised the S&C program up to all the other programs around the country in which there are many great programs and great S&C programs.
To date ... IMO ... Barwis is still the best thing that has happened to the Michigan program and bringing the S&C program up to the rest of the programs. He has basically cleaned the weightroom out and gutted 95% of the equipment in there and replacing what he believes works. I believe the 5% of what he kept was the weights.
CoachBt has been to both Ohio State and Michigan practices and have talked to both programs. They aren't as far apart as people believe as far as the S&C program goes.
Well if you ever listen to Doug Karsh 97.1fm or Sam Webb 1050am they are both pretty much homers because they do a lot of things for the university along with working for them or on the radio either in Ann Arbor or Detroit. I believe this year Sam has only went against Michigan once this year.
In regards to Tate the reports are that he is around 190lbs ... I am guessing 185 or so ... Not sure if Karsh meant by the time he was done or what, but when Tate came in he was 165lbs.
In another year or two ... you will be able to see the differences in the offensive line by how they are being used, how they are recruited by getting more athletic, quicker, and more agile offensive linemen. They have a good group that is very young that is backing up the starters. Also losing Molk hurt this line by having to move 2 players down and bringing in another tackle.
