Gareon Conley leaving Ohio State to declare for 2017 NFL Draft

The cornerback is trying his luck at the next level.
Gareon Conley was one of the first silos fired in a new cold war between Ohio State and Michigan.
A one time Michigan recruit, Urban Meyer and co. were able to get the Massillon Washington product to flip and instead pledge allegiance to his home-state Buckeyes.
Flash forward three years later, following a redshirt season and a bit of grooming, Conley turned untapped promise and potential into productivity, evolving into one of the latest to follow in a recent line of strong Buckeye defensive backs.
On Tuesday, Conley made it official on his personal Instagram account that he would be foregoing his remaining eligibility to enter the 2017 NFL Draft:
Conley had been projected as high as a second or third round pick and thought to be capable of going anywhere in the second or third day of the 2017 NFL Draft. But Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller says he has Conley as the second best corner in the 2017 class. Should Conley have a strong pro day, a late move (not unlike former corner Eli Apple) could see his stock soaring well into the first round.
