I realize we can't get a BCS playoff, but can we please change the way celebrations are penalized? Maybe the refs are so out of touch that they cannot differentiate between showboating and exhilaration, but it really is sad how unselfish jubilation often earns a flag.

I'll second that. It may not always be easy to distinguish between spontaneity and choreagraphy, but it is worth a try.

ANYTHING not to have to give you a BCS playoff.

running up the score

hate to see teams run up the score like louisville just did. they were already up 35-20 with 40 secs to go. how much do you wanna bet a classy tressy would of had the team take a couple of knees to run out the clock. as much as i hate to see him be overconservative with any size lead i do love it when he doesnt rub the other teams noses in the dirt when the game is over. i am sure texas tech woulda scored a quick td with 40 secs and then tried an onside kick to boot :(

I don't know. If I'm Pitt, I'd be even more embarrased to have my opponent drive the ball down the field with 14 running plays using his 2nd and 3rd string tailbacks, and then kneel the ball on the 3-yard line. It's like them saying "Geez, you couldn't even stop our 3rd-string back, so let us do it for you"

Wanny knows what that feels like, too. That's how the Pitt-ND game ended.

After this loss, two WVU losses could send Rutgers to a BCS bowl. I'm rooting for that outcome. If Rutgers makes a BCS bowl, I think that will accelerate the Big East's loss of its automatic berth.
