Game Thread Game Three: Ohio State 27, San Diego State 6 (final)

And despite all of crying, bitching, and complaining...tOSU is winning 24-6 and the defense has been amazing minus one play.

i know there is alot of upset people so far, but Jim Tressel is doing what he was brought here to do....win football games,

and that is what he is doing

were getting the job done.
Wow we must be on the same wavelength

We have a lot of things that just need to come together. Looking at this game and last weeks game against texas its just a droped pass here, a missed block there, a penalty here, that is stoping the offense from being great. We should have scored 3 touchdows last week that we turned into fieldgoals, and we have seen the same thing this week. BS fumble on the GL, the stall of the offense in the redzone, and the penaltly on Holmes return.
I'd agree with that for last week.

I think this week has exposed some relatively serious issues. But even great teams are a work in progress. What I don't worry about (ever) is our coaching staff's ability to instruct and adjust during the week. Troy will be ready to play next week.

Agreed. I will genuinely look forward to seeing how a single week of practice can address issues realized in this game.

Haven't we been saying that the past two years?

I was really excited after the Miami game that our offense had finally turned the corner. Guess I should know by now not to expect too much from the offense.

Why are you optimistic TS will be ready to play next week when he could not do it against such a bad team like SDSU?

I hate to make excuses for the team, but in a way I can't help but think about the fact that this is all part of the heart break and hang over from last weeks game. Those players were thinking about the Texas game long before we were, and for them to lose it like they did, in the last couple min was absolutely heart breaking for them I'm sure. Is it a good excuse for them? No, but i honestly think they are playing better than they might.
