I sure don't like a two Qb system but Smith cannot continue to do this.

At some point, we've just mangled Zwick's confidence. I don't feel he did anything to lose his job, I think from the bowl forward he gave us solid (albeit not electrifying) QB play. But he gets booed and mangled by the fans, dropped yet again back to the bench -- how many times can we ask him to step up and be the starter again, but until he thows a bad pass or gets a ball punched out of his arms? If Justin could step back in and play right now the way he was before, then he has an impressive fortitude.

Smith has to work through this. We're going to have to trust that the coaches can teach him how to read the field and throw the ball before next week.

One bad game (and contrary to what Brant was saying at halftime, I think this is a horrible game) shouldn't define Smith. As someone else said before, give him the rest of the game, a full week of practice, and then let's see how the Iowa game looks.

But man -- I really thought we were done "waiting and seeing" at QB... How frustrating.

Yes, I understand that. I should have said, the FB opened a hole over the right guard and had he followed him there would have been a better gain. The right tackle does not appear to be handling his zone when zone blocking not getting a push when they are firing.

Clarity.....what suprises me is that with the performance by Troy he has yet to be booed by the fans....now imagine if Zwick was in the game......

It seems like we have had a lot of WR drops, last week against texas, and this week too. If we are going to do well in a spread offense then the WR have to step up and make the catches.
