Game thread: USC 66, UCLA 19 (Final)

Here is my take and is not directed at anyone in particular....

USC is in the midst of one of the greatest runs in college football history...
That kind of success makes every miniscule move fair game for commentary on both sides. What some see as a carefree, funloving guy...others view that as being a cocky, classless ass.

Is he a great recruiter or a used care salesman?

It is all in the eye of the beholder.

Personally, I respect the program and Pete Carroll. It doesn't matter how people outside of the program see him because his success is undeniable. To me, complaining about a man who has not been accused of anything unscrupulous comes across as pure sour grapes in my opinion. This argument of running up the score is completely bogus...how many times in the past few seasons did tOSU fans complain about JT taking his foot off the gas pedal? Why is it suddenly classless when PC does what many of us wished JT would do? I love guys like Spurrier and Carroll who win half the game before the teams take the field. Whenever a USC opponent falls behind by a score or two, you can almost see the fight leave their eyes. They know they are about to get stomped. I love that swagger and I love that domination. USC does it clean and they do it right...why not admire that for what it is? Strive to gain that success instead of hating them like some jealous boyfriend who got dumped...

As Ric Flair said, "To be the man, you gotta beat the man." Until someone does that, Pete Carroll is the man.
