Game thread: #2 Texas 62, Baylor 0 (final)

Baylor held on 4th down and 3 at their own 40 on the first Texas possession. A couple of drops for VY's receivers.

Why do we need those teams to win out?

For BCS at large? I think ND is the biggest thing in our way there...besides Illnios, Northwestern, and Michigan of course.
Because if they lose, it could give other teams the BCS automatic bids, then those teams would get the at large.

If VTech loses to Miami, Miami could end up with the ACC bid and VTech would take the at large.

Texas just blocked a 30-yd FG to preserve the shutout, for now.

Their 40th blocked kick since 2000, most in 1-A.

VY just hit Quan Crosby for a 55-yard TD. Time to take him out, 48-0, late in the third.

what does beating up on hapless baylor with the first stringers prove? The vaunted Texas Tech defense held them to ZERO too last week.

Baylor's not as bad as they used to be. They went into OT with Oklahoma and aTm. And was Texas supposed to start their second string?
