Game Thread Game Six: #1 Ohio State 35, Bowling Green 7 (10/07/06)

Didn't see it, but it sounds like the same crap that happened to Ginn last week.

the int was more of a definative catch than ginn's was if that tells you anything.

Ohio St. has been screwed by blatantly obvious calls every game this year. Tressel NEEDS to file a complaint because when we're in a tight game it could bite us in the ass.

couldn't agree more. its not so much that its "us" getting bad calls or even that the calls have cost us anything overly significant. both calls came at times when we were more or less in control. but the fact of the matter is everytime these guys get away with blatant incompetance it free's them to do so again in the future. i like the reveiw system. if these second rate hacks keep screwing it up they are going to get instant replay removed from the game. which imo would be a shame.

Quick question, did that last interception call look like a good call to you guys with the big screen televisions (I watched on computer). It looked like a catch to me.

not only was it an interception, but unless the replay guys got a view we didn't on tv. there was NOTHING even remotely close to casting doubt on the int. the back view looked to be a solid catch with amos having his left hand under the ball as he hit the ground. the view from the front was too grainy to be certain that it wasn't a catch. and to be honest, made it look even more like a catch.

I am very surprised we only got 35 points. I figured we would have gotten around 50. But we will learn from our mistakes. We didn't do bad today, but could have done better than what we did. It is a win though, and that's all that matters. And that interception was a catch.

Maybe it's me, so I'll ask here since there are quite a few more knowledgable about the "in and outs" of football.

Doesn't it seem like Pittman is relying too much on the "bounce out." I noticed it, even though it got quite a bit of success, during the Iowa game and again today. If Pittman played a team that was a bit faster and better at open field tackling he'd take losses on a few plays. Of course, that could be asking alot of the defenses we face.

Is the Oline not making the holes big enough? Is Pittman relying too much? Or am I just crazy/ignorant on this matter?

I think he's running just fine. He wasn't getting great holes today. He still takes it up the middel quite a bit.
