The Lighter Side

You know why the section is called "the lighter side?" Because it's meant to be more funny than true. Ironic the piece would be labled "Whiny" when the person who labels it such can't help but whine about the piece... Unprofessional? Newsflash, I'm not being paid.

Just like my sister, you nancy boys need some thicker skin.

Fine, I took it too seriously. :( It just seemed like it repeated arguments that went back and forth on this thread many times, which at the time weren't supposed to be funny.

Maybe it was just supposed to be funny to OSU fans? And no, I don't care whether you talk about NIU in a "glowing" manner. Since we're playing the #1 ranked team, NIU is getting more publicity than we would normally get in about a decade anyway. It's kind of surreal actually.

For what it's worth, I don't recall anyone on this thread compairing NIU to their sister.

I saw similar "jokes" (which I didn't find funny) being used in that (NIU board) thread alongside complaints about BKB's TIC comments.

There was a reason it was titled 'The Lighter Side'.

Personally, I respect NIU's football team and think Wolfe is a very talented RB. I do not have to disrespect either to think OSU will win comfortably (I predicted 37-17, which is a conservative estimate IMO).

However, my posting attitude towards NIU has changed significantly over the course of this thread... due to the repetitive clamoring for respect by certain posters.
