I guess it depends on what you're watching. If you're watching the game, I don't think the stands will be in your way. If you're watching some guy peeing in the bathroom, then, yeah - the stands are probably in your way. Go down to the bathroom and watch from there.

I love how you guys think that we haven't seen anything like OSU in the past. Yes you are the number one team in the nation in both polls, but we have played teams that are just as big and physical as your guys. To think that your defense is going to snap GW in half like a twig is comical. Your offense scares me, but your defense is young and we are going to score our points and get our yards. You guys will be surprised on Saturday.

I doubt I'll be surprised at all.

Here's something to keep in mind about Ohio State's young defense.... Even Ohio State's worst D in the Tressel era has been one of the better Ds in the nation. What I'm saying is, it is mildly foolish to think Ohio State's D is going to be anything short of very good.

We'll know for sure in 6 days!! :biggrin:

Anyway.... as surprises go, maybe you oughta have a quick look over on Hawktalk or last year's Miami Oh game thread... We were all going to be surprised then as well.... turns out we weren't surprised and the Miami folks came to realize Ohio State is a whole different animal.

It's obvious that you haven't read much of the threads here which covered just who experienced our defensive replacements are. You will "score your points and get your yards", but neither will be in significant quantity...

'physical' is probably the last description I'd use for Michigan... at least in the trenches. Michigan has a big stadium, and gets highly ranked recruits according to scout. Yet they have a pretty mediocre home field advantage and are notorious for not developing defensive talent... and having slow defenders who do not wrap up or take good pursuit angles.

I don't expect NIU to get shell-shocked by how "great" OSU is on defense, or flip out due to a far more deafening stadium than last year. That 'shock' is not required for OSU to win handily.

For all the talk about surprises (which is rapidly becoming the calling card of MAC fans), the biggest one will be how surprisingly talented the "new" defense is, thanks in large part to the talented, very-experienced DL.
