I was wondering if anyone had some good highlights of the buckeye game, and if you do please post it here for others to see. I have been searching the internet looking for highlights but all i found was a 50 second video on espn!!! And also i was wondering where you guys think we will be ranked in the next poll release, 10???Thanks.:osu::oh:

Michigan of course will fall below us, and we should jump Va Tech, while Cal jumps us...the rest of the top 10 should stay about the same. My guess is:

  1. USC
  2. LSU
  3. WVU
  4. Texas
  5. Florida
  6. Wisconsin
  7. Oklahoma
  8. California
  9. Louisville
  10. Ohio State

Then again, with Va Tech being the sentimental favorite of the country they may not fall even after a very lackluster performance at home against East Carolina.

I don't think we'll crack 10 this week, maybe next.
LSU will get quite a few first place votes this week, since they've been the best (insert #) loss team in the country for a quarter million years and they won huge, postponing their forthcoming first loss by at least a week. At which point they will again be the best one loss team in the country- until their second loss, when they......

Agreed... which is silly. I'd be fine flipping spots with them, and earning the rest over time.

More of an opinion than rankings, Stuart Mandel dropped Ohio State from 11th to 14th. His reasoning:

SI.com - Writers - Power Rankings (cont.) - Tuesday September 4, 2007 2:42PM

Ohio State Buckeyes (1-0)
This has to be the first time in Power Rankings history that I've penalized a team for a loss by its rival. I was already uncomfortable placing OSU so high, and if Michigan was that overrated, the Buckeyes probably aren't far behind. Plus, Chris Wells only ran for 46 on Youngstown State.
Last game: Beat Youngstown State, 38-6.
Next game: Saturday vs. Akron.

I think Mandel just wanted to get an influx of emails from Ohio State fans.

Has a team ever dropped out of the top 25 from such a high ranking?

ESPN was talking a little about this last night in anticipation of the polls today, and said now top 5 team has ever fallen completely out of the top 25 in one week...
