Assistant Coach Eric Hanna
Eric Hanna is in his fifth season in his second stint as an assistant men?s basketball coach at Capital. Hanna served three years in this capacity with the Crusaders, before spending a year as an assistant coach at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N. Y.
Hanna played at Ohio State, earned the 1998 John Havlicek Award and was in the starting lineup for the Buckeyes final home game at St. John Arena. Off the court, the Youngstown native was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten and three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete selection. Hanna also won the Fergus Award as the OSU outstanding senior scholar-athlete and the basketball team?s Fred Taylor Scholar Award in 1998.
When not on the court, Hanna is a history teacher at Shanahan Middle School in the Olentangy Local School District and resides in Lewis Center with his wife Jodi.
