Fun Facts for ESPN to consider

Yeah, but really for the S-E-C Network. His message isn't what Disney bought; it's his listener base.

If you doubt the importance of his listener base, just go to Disney World. You'll see plenty of Feinbaum devotees there. It's why Mickey has to hire so many street sweepers.

S-E-C Network = ESPN

Nice try, not gonna work.

I haven't heard that on ESPN. Feinbaum, yeah, but not ESPN.

It's fine to be critical of ESPN, but don't confuse their message with the ravings of toothless trailer-park Alabamians.
You should watch college GameDay or SportsCenter if you don't think they're saying that the SEC isn't the best conference in college football.

I didn't say they haven't said that. It's the truth, after all.

Which goes back to the point of this thread then. A team more than likely, barring a meltdown, that will be competing for the conference championship (meaning the best team in the conference) lost to a team that can't even win a game in it's own conference which is supposedly one of the worst ones. Even Virginia Tech has won a conference game.

The SEC isn't the best conference. The SEC has some good teams on it though.

And if they win the SEC championship game, none of the SEC teams deserve to be in the playoffs.

Although I agree 100% with this comment, can you imagine the destruction it would cause??? From 3 SEC teams being in the early final 4, to NONE! ESPN would be so disgraced. It would be a fun thing to watch. Somehow, a non-SEC champ would make it. And it probably would be a team from the SEC west that DIDN'T make the CCG. So, somehow a team that isn't good enough to make their CCG would be appointed to the final 4... and the rest of us are supposed to accept that because.... well.... they're the SEC, that's why.

And the SEC is flying high in the post-season lately, aren't they? Auburn... Alabama... you guys won your bowls games last year, didn't you? I'm sure you did.

It's still plausible for the entire SEC to be left out. Obviously it's going to take some performances from other conferences as well, but if Missouri wins, they might just have it happen.

Lol ESPN would probably be claiming that if 0 SEC teams make the playoff the champ should carry an asterik or something along those lines since none of the 4 had to go through the SEC!!!!!!

No, there really isn't, because nobody (and I mean nobody) cares about Missouri football, and nobody has suggested they might qualify for a spot in the playoff.

With excellence comes the desire for others to knock you off your perch. That's why Alabama has been slammed this season for not being as good as in years past, and that's why the talking heads continue to remind the nation of our VT loss. Mississippi and MSU are both regarded as those cute little schools that are overperforming. If they continue to win big for the next five years, expect the media to start pouncing on every little chink in their armor, too.
Missouri started the season 3-0 and was rated 18th before they fell to the mighty Hoosiers. Had they taken care of business against IU, they would have moved into the top 15 and would have been in the talk for the playoffs. To act like they were a bottom feeder is absurd. Unless of course you are trying to make a point which has no basis in fact.

Are you seriously suggesting that anyone thinks Missouri has a prayer of making the playoff?

I don't recall calling the Tigers a "bottom feeder," but few people would mourn if they sank into the sea.

Did you bother to actually read my post, or do you just lack reading comprehension skills? Do I (today) believe anyone thinks Missouri has a chance of making the playoffs? No. But at the time they were beaten by IU, most people would have given them a better shot than MS State. So yes, the ESPiN machine would have had Missouri part of the playoff talk had they defeated IU.
