FSU QB Wyatt Sexton Mega-Merge

Understood.
I am just being ornery, I am bored watching Dennis' progress.

I rank FSU with SCUM. I guess because I have been down here so long. I am not sure who posted this before but since Saban was at LSU, FSU has not gotten the talent they had before. It is tough to decide whether to root for FSU to beat Miami or the reverse.

Keep your head down bro. I can't beieve its hurricane ducking time already, I just hope we dont get pummeled like we did last year. That sucked some major wang.

As for FSU's demise, its like anything else there is no one single reason but I'd put Bobby's age and Chesticles/Richt departure at the top. Very similar to PSU and Paterno after his DC hung it up.

There's been a lot of talk from Florida people (on other message boards I visit) saying it's pretty widely known that he uses drugs. But could just be talk.

And for the people wondering about whether this Lyme disease diagnosis is correct, well from a poster at Gator Country (Florida scout site):

Re: Wyatt Sexton Diagnosed With Lyme Disease - www.scout.com <HR SIZE=1>All the way to PA for a professional opinion becaue he couldn't get diagnosed closer to home? I wonder what hospital this Dr. Swami has privlidges at. Froma google search looks like the guy is more of an "expert witness" than an MD. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
I did a search at google and there are a couple court reports from this Dr. Swami. I don't understand the legal talk, but I think what I get from them is that he uses this "lyme disease" diagnosis often (for worker's compensation I think?).

Re: Wyatt Sexton Diagnosed With Lyme Disease - www.scout.com <HR SIZE=1>Apparently, I have too much time on my hands and could not take my own above advise about letting this go. I did a yahoo search on Dr. Swami and found the following interesting quote from a case in which the good doctor, a general practitioner, testified for the plaintiff:

From the Worker Compensation case In The Matter of Stout:

"The record also contains a July 1, 1996 report from Dr. S. Chandra Swami, a general practitioner and attending physician, who made a “confident diagnosis” of Lyme disease. In making the diagnosis, Dr. Swami stated:
“I am an innocent victim of this disease due to my love of nature photography. My nurse and one other staff member have it as well as a few of there [sic] family members. My dog dies of this illness….”
By decision dated July 9, 1996, the Office denied appellant’s claim finding that the medical evidence did not establish a definitive diagnosis of Lyme disease as there were no positive immunologic titres (blood tests); nor did the medical evidence establish a causal relationship between appellant’s claimed condition and his federal employment."

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

edit-there's some more talk on the validity of Dr. Swami and this diagnosis on warchant (FSU rivals site) and pretty much the other Florida school sites. Don't feel like copying and pasting all the posts concerning Dr. Swami/Lyme disease and Wyatt Sexton though. But it is interesting stuff.

As someone who lived in the northeast, Conn. I can tell you Lyme disease is more prevalent than you might think. And can be very hard to get a solid diagnosis on. The effects can be devastating to your health. The disease can hang on for years! Just the massive treatment of antibiotics can have serious side effects! It does not surprise me Sexton is wigging out!

Wow -- Sexton gets diagnosed by an out of state doctorb in Pennsylvania by the name of Swami -- could tibor's true ID have been shown to the world?

Wish Sexton well, no matter what his true condition / problem may be, but like one of those Blue Collar comedians keeps saying ..

"I don't care who you are, that's funny right there."

FSU QB Sexton quits football

By wire services
Published January 15, 2006
<hr noshade="noshade" size="1"> Florida State quarterback Wyatt Sexton, who sat out the season as he received treatment for Lyme disease, announced Saturday that he was giving up football.
"This has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my entire life," Sexton said in a statement. "But after consultation with my doctor and my family, I've decided not to rejoin the football team. I will focus on regaining my health and my academic pursuit of getting an MBA."
Sexton, 21, a fourth-year junior, started seven games in 2004 and was penciled in at the top of the depth chart. But in June, police responded to calls that Sexton was acting erratically and took him to the hospital.
Sexton later was diagnosed with Lyme disease and began a lengthy recovery.

Seminole QB Sexton Ends Comeback Bid

Wyatt Sexton

TALLAHASSEE, FL (AP) -- Florida State quarterback Wyatt Sexton has decided to quit football after sitting out the past season because of illness.

Sexton, committed to a psychiatric facility in June after being found disheveled and disoriented on a Tallahassee street, said he will forgo his final year of eligibility to concentrate on his health and his studies.

"This has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my entire life," Sexton said in a statement. "I will focus on regaining my health and my academic pursuit of getting an MBA."

The school released the statement Saturday night without comment from coach Bobby Bowden or his staff. Billy Sexton, Wyatt's father, is the longtime running backs coach.

Sexton had been suspended at the time of the bizarre June episode for failing to take a drug test, Bowden said in July. That month, Sexton was diagnosed with Lyme disease and pronounced out for this season.

Sexton went 5-2 as the Seminoles' starting quarterback in 2004. In his two seasons, Sexton completed 142-of-257 passes for 1,717 yards with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions.

He had practiced with the team in the fall and during recent Orange Bowl preparations.

Sexton would have likely entered spring practice competing for third on the depth chart with highly recruited incoming freshman Christian Ponder.

Rising sophomores Drew Weatherford and Xavier Lee led the Seminoles in 2005. Weatherford set an Atlantic Coast Conference freshman record with 3,208 passing yards.
