Fresno St. 10 Boise St 61 (Final)

Blue on blue makes it difficult to watch Boise State at home. They should to be made to wear different color uniforms than the color of their field.

Their other color is orange. I shudder to imagine an orange turf field.

An undefeated Boise St. team in the top ten doesn't make bcs. I thought that both they and Utah would probably get it that way and was rooting for a fresno st and oregon wins this weekend for an Ohio State BCS trip.

Only one non-BCS team can snag a bid.

EDIT: Now they're talking like that's not the case.

So now we're getting ripped during the fucking Boise-Fresno game, as underserving of a BCS bid ahead of the Broncos. :roll2:

Well Boise St. did win a BCS game againts a team that has been worse at showing up in bowl games than us. But Boise St. is a media darling and we have been "exposed" so many times bah blah blah. Cinderellas make the NCAA tourney a lot of fun, but I would rather see storied BCS confrence teams than mid-majors. I also think BCS confrence champs should have to have 10wins to get in. Really though, I'm just pissed we might not be getting a bid.

I won't be too pissed unless Oregon State loses tomorrow and we get bypassed for Utah and Boise. What bugs me is the rationale they were using: we come out of the "weak" Big 10. Apparently, the WAC is now a power conference.

The WAC is REALLY down this year. You can make a case that New Mexico State, Idaho, and Utah State are three of the worst teams in Division I (or whatever it is called now). Hawaii and Fresno are nowhere close to the level at which they have been. Nevada, San Jose State, and Louisiana Tech are mediocre at best. Even this Boise State team is not as good as their recent teams. Boise's signature win is at Oregon, which is a good win. The other OOC wins are Idaho State, Bowling Green, and Southern Miss. Not exactly a who's who of football powers. I have a lot of respect for the Boise program, but I just don't see them as a BCS caliber team this year, regardless of the record.
