Can a car run on beans and rice? Chipotle Mexican Grill thinks so -- sort of.
In an effort to offset the high cost of gasoline, the Mexican restaurant chain is offering customers free burritos, tacos or bowls from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Columbus-area stores -- one per person, no fax orders accepted.

Wife just called from the Lancaster Chipotle. She guesses she's about 40th in line or so, she got there at 4:30. Said everybody is pretty civil and just waiting outside the doors to walk in at 5:00, allowing the paying customers through.

Just got back and done eating. Waited about an hour in the rain. But it sure was worth it
