Fox Sports: Things you can count on in College Football this season

Another way might be to demand a major bowl game in Chicago... and please, don't even talk about Detroit's Dome or going to Minniesota. If the NFL can play in Soldier Field in January, then so can college teams and I'd love to catch the Bayou Tigers or the Tide in snow and falling temperatures.
Because our spread offense is so much better acclimated for cold weather than theirs is? I'm with you on the location bitching, but cold weather and snow doesn't help us...maybe UM or Wisky, but not us and our speed teams.

Acclimatization.

If you haven't really experienced cold weather, performing in it can be more difficult than you'd think.

Heck when I moved back to Ohio after living in SoCal for several years (and wintering in such polar climes as Al Jubal & Mogadishu I nearly died that first winter. My body was completely unprepared for long term exposure to sub freezing temperatures.

For those who bitch about Musberger and Keith Jackson, wait till you hear the mush mouths who will calling games on the BTN.

I believe that one of the announcers will be Thom Brennaman. I actually like Thom, and he mentions the Buckeyes on occasion during the Reds games. He is always talking about how rabid of fans people are of the Buckeyes so I hope we get him for a few of the games. I'm sure the other announcers won't be as good as Thom though.

You've listened to the second team backfield for ESPN games, or the games that follow Musberger? That's a glimpse... like it or not there is a reason why Brent gets the call for The Game. He's better than the other options.

And please don't tell me to listen to Greg Lushutka or the other homer they put on the games with Paul Kael.

Personally I cannot stand Musberger because he rarely calls the game - he's too busy telling stupid stories. I'd like to hear about the game most of the time if he wants to throw in a story for grampa here and there OK but not while Pittman is breaking a 23 yard rush around the bottom of the field and stiff-arming the $&#^%$ out of the poor 1st year safety. I wish I could tell you exactly when that happened but he talked through the whole play without as much as a pause until Pittman was flipping the ball to the nearest official. If I was local to OH I'd be listening to a radio broadcast of some sort.

I'd rather listen to bad play by play. Just my take on it.

Fox Sports Ohio has the following poll:

Ohio's Best
What is the best team in Ohio?

1. Reds - 26%

2. Indians - 5%

3. Buckeyes - 62%

4. Blue Jackets - 5%

The Cleveland Cavaliers weren't even listed. Quite honestly they should have had a "none of the above" option. However, maybe they were voting for Ohio State basketball team.

Blue Jackets might actually make the playoffs again this season.
