Pulp Fiction has to be one of the worst movies of all time. It included Uma Thurman possible the worst actress of all time and it was shot out of sequence, one of the worst direction decisions of all time.

Sry but that is how most of the ppl I know think of this and every other Tarenteno film.
Firstly, it's Tarantino.

It was filmed out of sequence because that is crucial to the dialogue, which is the centerpiece of any Tarantino film. Tarantino doesn't care about driving plot, following conventions, and story arcs ... his movies are about character development and conflict resolution. Dialogue is Tarantinos signiture, and Pulp Fiction was made to present dialogue front and center. Really, if the movie were put into chronological order with the scenes as they've been filmed, it would not work. Anyhow, the fact that the story is presented out of time does not effect the viewer. No plot developments are missed because if it. I don't think it's fair to call this one of the worst directing decisions of all time, particularly when this format for movie making wound up being taken up a notch by two other acclaimed films, Memento and Irreversible.

Pulp Fiction has been ranked in the Top-10 at IMDb for years now. Its 8.7 rating ranks 9th overall with over 166,000 votes at current check.

Uma Thurman was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for Pulp Fiction. She's appeared in a number of other great films, such as Dangerous Liaisons, Henry & June, Sweet and Lowdown, and Kill Bill. The fact she's been employed for about 20 years now in popular and critically successful films doesn't support your theory that she is "possible the worst actress of all time."

I think it's fair to say that the majority of film goers disagree with you.

If you want to be taken seriously you should ease up on the hyperbole. If Pulp Fiction wasn't for you, then fine, but don't pan it, the director, and the cast just because it wasn't made to appeal to you or your clique.

I hated Forrest Gump... the message is that if you are pure of heart... good things will happen to you... even if you are a fucking retard.. and if you're not... you'll get AIDS and die and you'll deserve it.

I loved it. I don't really like a lot of Tarantino movies, but I thought that Pulp Fiction was great.

"She tasted like cigarettes."
"That's my boat."

I'm surprised that anyone actually cares who won what in award shows. If some actor/actress or some movie wins an Oscar or an Emmy or an MTV Movie Award, or gets a "Thumbs-Up" from some guy, is that what makes it a good movie? I should hope not. Afterall, if a guy gets hit in the crotch with a football, the fact that it wins an award doesn't make it a good movie. The greatness is in the fact that the guy got hit in the crotch with a football.

I liked them both and shawshank and hoop dreams and quiz show. I wish another year would roll around soon with that many quality movies to see. It's been pretty bad recently.
Too bad none of those movies came out last year, because a least FG, TSR, and PF were all better than Crash or any of the other movies that were up for the Oscar. Of course I didn't see any of the gay movies so my choices from last year are limited.

i like the movie, but im wierd i dont like movies for "artistic" reasons. i dont find figure skating as art. the funny thing is a guy in the low post and his foot work is more artistic to me than a ballet or what not. id rather watch 12 guys on skates, 10 of them trying to take each others heads off while you have some guy toe drag and curl through the whole thing. but to each their own.

I liked Gump and Pulp Fiction, although I think Pulp Fiction is not as great as some think it is. The key to enjoying any Tarantino movie is simply realizing that he doesn't live in the real world and that everything in his movies is some kind of allusion or homage to some other movie. I will say that Tarantino seems like a better writer than a director to me, and he has to be the worst actor I've ever seen. I also think that "Shawshank" is the best movie of the three.
