We knew he was leaving. Now we know where to.

Earlier this month, Ohio State announced that James Clark would not be returning to Ohio State, as he would complete his degree and seek a graduate transfer. Now, we know his destination.

Per the Daytona Beach-Journal, Clark will join the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Clark, a former four-star prospect from New Smyrna Beach, FL, never really blew up with Ohio State, as injuries to his ankle and hamstring slowed his career. He finished with six catches and 47 yards last season, with only one catch going over ten yards.

Per the report, how Tech head coach Justin Fuente used his wideouts last year helped seal the deal:


"You can see the production they have out of the receivers," Clark said. "And as a team, they went to the ACC championship last year, and they know how to get their playmakers the ball.

Clark was reportedly also considering South Florida. He’ll compete with Ohio State’s track team this spring, and head to Virginia Tech later this summer.

It was easy to see that Clark had lots of potential, and hopefully he’s able to be healthy this season and fully realize it for Virginia Tech.
