Football Parents At Ohio State (FPAOS)

I did notice that the parents got some decent coverage on Fox News (see videos):

The letter does not specify who all was involved in writing the letter. That said, the Nebraska football parents’ group has tweeted that it has been in communication with parents from Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Rutgers, Illinois, Penn State, Maryland and Northwestern in addition to Ohio State.

We have been in contact with 11 of the 14 parent groups representing BIG 10 football teams

Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Purdue aren't mentioned. Apparently 3 of those 4 didn't participate.

Scott is among the most frustrated and hurt.

“Help us understand that now that you’ve seen new things that have happened since you made the decision, help us understand why and when there’s going to be a season,” Scott said. “Help us understand why Thanksgiving or November is better January. Help us understand why November is better than October. Help us understand, yes or no, will COVID be around in one year? Two years? COVID is not going to be eradicated tomorrow. We always say we going to live with a new normal. Well, guess what? We are living in a new normal.

“There is a commitment by the Big Ten, and there is a commitment by the Buckeyes. As a parent that is supporting my children, my big thing is I want to see the commitment by the Big Ten.”

Ohio State has remained adamant that it wanted to play. Other schools in the league have, too. And as plans begin to take shape for a makeshift football season, whether that starts in November, January or later in the spring, the parents at Ohio State just want some answers. And they want to understand why decisions were made.

Until the Big Ten, and Kevin Warren in particular, answers the questions of concerned parents, Scott and the rest of the moms and dads at Ohio State will remain frustrated with this process.

“It’s disrespectful. It’s hurtful,” Scott said. “Help us understand.”

“NOBODY CARES.” For his latest YouTube video, Gee Scott Jr. went to a local high school to give an extremely motivating message to the teens – nobody cares.

Hear him out. It truly is solid life advice.

"It's your responsibility to create the best version of yourself despite hardships."

Hell yeah, Gee. Realizing that you alone are responsible for the way you respond internally and externally to any situation is the most freeing thing ever. Nobody cares about your circumstances, they care about how you respond to them.

I also appreciated his answer about how hard it was to become a college football player: nowhere close to as hard as it is to stay a college football player.
