Florida State Seminoles (official thread)

Florida State football coach Mike Norvell is not moving out of his house in Tallahassee. Rumors swirled after video was posted to social media showing a delivery truck supposedly outside his home

Florida State's Norvell downplays moving truck post, focused on Alabama

Florida State coach Mike Norvell said he had no idea a social media post showing a box truck outside his home went viral until he was asked about it during his Wednesday news conference, saying his entire focus has been on preparing to play at Alabama on Saturday.

Speculation has ramped up about his long-term future with the Seminoles following the dismissal of athletic director Michael Alford on Monday. The photo, posted on Tuesday, showed a truck and cardboard boxes outside his home. The post said, "Moving trucks at Norvells home."

Norvell said the truck was there delivering a desk for his daughter....... Asked about the post and increasing speculation, Norvell said, "Is that online?"

"Oh that's awesome. I don't look a whole lot online," he said. "All of our focus is on this team; that's where I live. There can be plenty of speculation. There can be plenty of things that are out there. I get the opportunity to show up every day, bring the right attitude, bring the right mentality, bring the right work, pouring into this team, pouring into these players. I believe in that."

Dismissed Florida State player allegedly exceeded 150 mph during police chase

Chuck Kennon, the Florida State freshman cornerback who was dismissed from the program earlier this week, allegedly reached speeds in excess of 150 mph and would not let a woman out of the car while being pursued by Florida Highway Patrol officers Sunday near Tampa, Florida.

Kennon, 18, was arrested and charged with second-degree felony aggravated fleeing to elude, third-degree felony false imprisonment and resisting an officer without violence, a misdemeanor.

According to the arrest report obtained by WCTV in Tallahassee, a female passenger told troopers that Kennon wouldn't let her exit the vehicle after asking him "more than 10 times to stop" and that she "feared for her safety."

According to the report, a black SUV was clocked going 70 mph in a 50 mph zone and, when troopers tried to make the traffic stop, the driver ran a red light, hit a curb and pulled away from the troopers at speeds of more than 150 mph. The SUV later came to a stop with a flat tire, and Kennon fled on foot.

Just sayin': Damn, he tied the Georgia Bulldog record.

Google AI: The fastest recorded speed involving a Georgia Bulldogs football player is 150 mph, reached by former redshirt freshman offensive lineman Nyier Daniels during a police chase. In November 2025, Daniels was driving a 2022 BMW M5 when police attempted to pull over his mother. He intentionally accelerated to over 100 mph in a residential zone to act as a distraction, eventually hitting 150 mph on Interstate 85 with his two younger siblings inside the vehicle. Following the incident, he was facing multiple charges and was immediately dismissed from the team by head coach Kirby Smar
