Florida State 18, Clemson 24 (Final)

Check out this post-game quote from a Clemson player. How the mighty have fallen.

usatoday

Clemson linebacker Nick Watkins says the win is nice, but the Tigers have bigger things on their minds.

"It's not that big a statement," Watkins said of the win. "We beat Florida State for a few years in a row, whatever it is, and we haven't won a championship yet. So beating Florida State doesn't mean anything."

That's a valid point, BB73. Beating the tar out of Miami Fla, FSU, and NC State doesn't carry quite the cache it did five years ago.

Wake Forest went to a BCS bowl. I still can't get over that.

You know, as Big Ten fans we're catching a lot of grief over OSU and UM's 2006 bowl performances, and now UM dropping a home game to Appalachian State. But on the bright side, there's one thing we've always got going for us.

At least we're not the ACC. :tongue2:

Any scotty cooper sightings? #44 for clemson.

He played 12-15 snaps at LB, KO team, KO return, and was on the punt block unit.

He got robbed on the stats...had what I would call half a sack on his first snap at LB. Flushed Weatherford then came under to get his legs while the DL cleaned up.

Awesome game and awesome environment...closest thing to Columbus that Ive seen so far.

He was a good five yards behind the runner when he started chasing him...that dude has some serious jets.

Not true at all. He had a 5 yard head start and was already running close to full speed. It still took some speed to chase him down but he did have a beneficial angle.

Those teams are arguably just as bad offensively.
True, but I was referring to their defenses. Does Miami still have Calais Campbell? What is he, 6'8", 290 pounds, runs a 4.6 or something similarly ridiculous?

He alone could have the FSU O-line for breakfast. Both Tech and the U should be creating plenty of turnovers if the FSU offensive line isn't improved.

Florida St.'s D aint bad either. I'd be shocked if the margin of victory in those games is over 10 points.
