Florida Rematch in 2007?

Am I the only one who thinks Tebow throws like a girl? Honestly, his running ability is great but from what I've seen, he throws really lofty passes that tend to hang around in the air. If he can get a solid throwing motion and rhythm down where he can put some heat on his passes, watch out, until then, I'll remain skeptical.

Tebow has a cannon. He has done exactly what Meyer has needed him to do. He made you guys look stupid in the title game, and it wasn't a fluke. This kid is a great player. If he gets three yards when you know he is running, how do you think he will do when you don't know he is running every time.

You're kidding, right?
It is very hard for me take any of your posts seriously after not noticing the sarcasm in that post.

Tebow has not proven that he can be a great starting quarterback in college football. If he wants to continue to run the ball, he will be both shut down and injured. Secondly, he has not shown that he can throw the ball at the college level. Until then, I am a doubter.

Well, I wasn't sure you are a Buckeye fan. That post definitely qualifies you for a delusional domer, and I have seen some so I wouldn't be too surprised.

Tebow was a backup to the senior and essential in their title run. He has thrown when he needs to and has ran successfully. He averaged 5 yards a run and has completed and has a QB rating of 201. Sure, that rating will go down, but still it's impressive. If Tebow averages 5 yards a carry when the defenses load up on the line, imagine him when they have to worry about the pass, too. He is fast, strong, has a cannon, a great coach, and the system to fit him perfectly as an spread option runner.

I am well aware that he can be a good football player, I saw him play in high school and know all of the records he broke. With the exception of the D-1AA Western Carolina it is very difficult for anyone to say he has been good at throwing the ball.

The SEC is so fast and physical I feel that making a career on the spread option could shorten Tebow's college football career. Don't you think that once the vaunted SEC defenses get a feel for what Urban is doing Tebow may break by his junior year Ohiovol?

Since when does having a "cannon" equal being a good college QB? Justin Zwick has a cannon too, but he couldn't get his job back once Troy Smith took over.

He has done exactly what Meyer has needed him to do.

True

:slappy: I think you need to watch the game again bucko....

This kid is a great player.

The jury is still out on that. What I'm sure of is that Florida will be kicking the shit out of Tennessee for the foreseeable future.

If he gets three yards when you know he is running, how do you think he will do when you don't know he is running every time.

Chances are he won't do anywhere near that well next year. He isn't the second coming of Michael Vick.

He isn't the 2nd coming of Vick, but I bet he will have a lot of success in the next few years.

What do you mean I need to watch the game again? He definitely appeared to be doing well on his touchdowns... Had more than 6 yards of offense like that one qb we know.

When I said he had a cannon, I was responding to who said he throws like girl. Throwing motion may look funny, but he can still get the job done.

And lastly, no shit they will kick the crap out of Tennessee. So will Bama, Arkansas, LSU, and Auburn until Fulmer goes. I'm not delusional so you will have to try something else.

No, Urban is certainly to smart to get his QB killed. The offense they run should look similar to the offense they ran in the championship game. They won't just throw him around.

Believe me, I would like nothing more than to say that he will be a huge flop.

Well as a huge Buckeye fan living in Gainesville, I would absolutely love a rematch with the gators, seeing as I can't seem to stop getting shit due to our loss in basketball and football (as long as we win, of course...)

And I actually think it's pretty likely. We should both have some great stars next year with some few flaws. UF loses a ton of their star defensive players, and that will hurt them- a lot. They are also going to have to get Tebow to be a good starting college quarterback. In high school he dominated, but it's not 100% that he will in college. With how much he runs, it's also possible that he has to sit out games due to injury. UF has gotten another good recruiting class. I see them as a 0-2 loss team next year. Their offense should be pretty high-powered (even if Tebow doesn't do great, they still have some great receivers, and Tebow will probably do pretty well). Their defense has some holes but they also return some great players and should do fine.

Most of us have already gone through what we think we will be like next year. I think we will also be a 0-2 loss season, with us losing as many as 2 losses to the trio of Michigan/Wisconsin/Penn State.

I think that both UF as well as us will have a 1 loss season. We will lose to Wisconsin, Michigan, or Penn State, and I have a feeling that UF will lose to LSU. That could very well end tOSu and UF in the same bowl... which we will win, of course, getting our revenge .

(Of course, all of this is conjecture, especially since both of us are starting new quarterbacks)
