Florida Gators (official thread)

*Baseball

We only have one program that’s actually elite in basketball at the moment
I'll take your word for the baseball thing. I don't know if college baseball is played north of the Ohio River.
But assuming this website is correct: https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/associated-press
then there's 4 SEC teams in the top 6.
4 more in the 7-20 range.
Also, I'm intentionally stirring the pot, but why is it "stirring the pot" to call someone a basketball conference or basketball school? Is it because it implies that they aren't a football conference/school?

It is generally used as an insult by fans of schools that are only good at one sport.

For instance, during peak Saban years, Gumps would call LSU a "baseball" school as an insult to imply that we weren't very good at football. Now that they're mediocre in football and think that they're good at basketball (they're not), they don't use it anymore.

But does anyone get offended by being "a football school"? Or no, because we all wish we were good at football?
