Hopefully they'll be bringing their band to the Horseshoe.

Word is the "Marching 100" are not making the trip. Their indefinite suspension following the death of Drum Major Robert Champion was lifted last month after 19 months.

Can't think of a reason to go to this game now.

Genius of Urban to give Carlos a ban that will cause him to miss the trip to California, thus giving the punishment enough teeth to send a message, and bringing him back for a game that only die-hard Buckeyes will watch. Even though the announcers will talk about the incident all game long (because of Hyde's return) only die-hard Buckeyes will see it.

I never have a problem with us handing out a beat-down on any team, FCS or FBS...I will gladly watch this game.

The Ohio State University should never be scheduling a 1AA team in football. It is a "no win" situation, if you win, "big deal" everyone expected you to. If you don't "blow them out" you'll probably fall in the polls. It does nothing to help your "strength of scheule". If you lose (think scUM vs Appalachian State here) you are the "laughing stock" of the NCAA for the next decade. Also, it "rips off" loyal alumni who are only allowed to buy one game and end up getting stuck with a lousy 1AA opponent game for $79 per ticket.

Yeah, FAMU has managed 9 first downs in each of their last two games, including a magnificent 156 yards of offense last week in a 27-7 loss to Tennessee State followed up by 217 yards in yesterday's 27-20 loss to Samford.

This is going to be (better be) ugly.

Putting this here since it'll be brought up during the broadcast. Race/police brutality discussions go to the poli forum.

Police: Ex-FAMU player shot 10 times

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An unarmed man shot by police as he sought help after a car crash had moved to North Carolina to be with his fiancee and was working two jobs, his family said Monday.
Family members said at a news conference that Jonathan A. Ferrell, 24, had lived in the Charlotte area for less than a year and was likely unfamiliar with the area he was driving when he crashed early Saturday.
Police were called after the former Florida A&M University football player knocked on the door of a home near the crash. He was hit with a Taser as he approached officers and then shot, resulting in a voluntary manslaughter charge against one of the officers. A first appearance was scheduled for the officer on Tuesday after being postponed by a day.
Investigators say Ferrell was shot 10 times by Charlotte police officer Randall Kerrick.

Cont'd ...
