Gators need to beat the [censored] out of FSU.

What are you basing this on?

Is this just saying you want them to? I really don't care, I'm just curious.

For their own purposes, all the gators need to do is win. If they win their remaining games by 1 point each, they get another crystal football. They don't need to beat anything out of anyone.

For my own purposes... My in-laws are going to be in town for Thanksgiving, so my wife bought tickets so that I could go to the game with my father-in-law.

He's a gator fan - his son (hence, my brother-in-law) went there

Should be interesting to venture into Doak-Campbell with a 77 year old man dressed in gator gear.

When I moved here I made two promises myself. I swore that, even if my job depended on it, I would never:
  1. Pretend to be a NASCAR fan
  2. Do the warchant
Promise #1 actually did end up hurting me professionally. I wish I were joking about that. Nevertheless, I have kept both promises.

I may actually be tempted to break Promise #2 this weekend though. It would be great to see the look on his face...

But still not worth it. No warchant - no way. I may work here - I may live here - but I am NOT from here

I hate Florida State, and kinda like the Gators. I used to be a Florida fan, before they played us. Some of their fans turned me a bit sour. But I still find myself rooting for them the majority of the time, especially when they play FSU.

I have a Danny Wuerffel jersey at my parents' house, if that tells you anything.

I don't think Nole fans are nearly as rabid as tOSU fans or even Gator fans for that matter. Clemson is the only school in the ACC with an SEC/tOSU feel. Your father in law will be fine.

Go Noles' though. I think it's going to be a good one.
