2. WR JAIME FFRENCH

Ffrench catches passes from Jones at Mandarin High School and for the South Florida Express. On Saturday, Ffrench showed the traits that has him ranked as a five-star prospect early in this 2025 cycle. At 6-feet-1 and 185 pounds, Ffrench does a nice job of creating separation in and out of his breaks. He also has the size and athleticism to make reception that required a catch radius. Ffrench is a smooth, confident pass catcher in the 2025 class. He finished his junior season with 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns.
His ability is so smooth. Nice arm sleeve btw
Tom Loy says if he had to put in a pick for WR Jaime Ffrench today, he would CB him to Ohio State.
Ffrench has been in Ohio State gear nonstop over the past month
Is anyone else feel skeptical of Tom Loy as a national reporter? My impression of him from covering ND was that he'd blow smoke up his reader base's backside regarding highly rated recruits and their interest in ND to drive engagement. Then, the truth would come out in trickles as the player would get closer to committing to not ND.
I understand that paradigm. As a national reporter, I would expect more accuracy in his reporting, but without a body of with to judge, it's impossible to know what to expect out of him.
So while I'm glad things look good for us regarding Ffrench, I think I'll wait for more trustworthy reports to get my hopes up.
That's pretty much every local sports reporter. They play to their base. If the base is unhappy, they try to be unhappy-er...Is anyone else feel skeptical of Tom Loy as a national reporter? Ffrench was committed to Alabama but after coach Nick Saban retired, the four-star from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin reopened his recruitment and now it looks like a two-team race between the two programs that finished second and third earlier in his recruitment.
Ohio State definitely appeals to Ffrench because of the receiver history plus some former South Florida Express teammates are there. But there is also a major draw to just driving across Interstate 10 to Tallahassee and playing a few hours away at Florida State.
