2021 FL (WI) OT JC Latham (Alabama Verbal)

You left out the most important part, it was because we “took too many guys so Latham’s position”. We have one tackle committed. After getting pressed about it, he went on to say that once Latham gets back to Florida, Ohio State will probably lead again. His update made zero sense.

He also told them that once Caleb Williams commits multiple Ohio State commits are going to flip to them (and suggested Henderson was one).

The guy really sets himself up for all the grief he gets. They had him on the verge of a breakdown after Dunn, I can’t imagine this is going to end well for him.
Hahaha wow... OU is not tOSU

Andrew Ellis posts that "family dynamics" have entered the equation now. He's starting to feel a little uneasy. Meanwhile Brandon Drumm is starting to chuckle (lol). Someone opined he maybe would prefer to stay closer to home at Bama or LSU. I guess they forgot his home is in Wisconsin (lol again).

That’s not entirely what he said. Also, he said he thinks Latham ends up at Ohio State and that it feels like someone building up a second team. Important detail you didn’t include.

You also didn’t mention that Wiltfong thinks it could easily still be Ohio State.

Greene said he’s not buying it fwiw.

Here is the direct quote so maybe noone will misinterpret..
"I've heard for the last week or two that Bama was a bigger threat than LSU, but I know some people still feel LSU is the main competition. That usually screams of " someone has to be the runnerup " but I know there are some family dynamics that have changed things a little bit. My pick is still Ohio State but I honestly have no idea when he will commit. It definitely seems a lot closer than it was a month or even two weeks ago."

1. The only part in my previous post that was in quote marks was "family dynamics". The added part about Brandon Drumm was my poor attempt at humor. Sorry if that offended anyone.
2. There was nothing in that quote about Wiltfong, or Greene. Important detail you didn't include. I will try to be more clear in future posts. At least we can agree Latham still seems to b favoring the Bucks. Come to think of it, being from Wisconsin he probably favors the Milwaukee Bucks as well.

No. 1: Ohio State needs to add an offensive lineman
For item one, we’ll have to give the Buckeyes a win, even though the offensive line commitment they added was not in the Class of 2021.

Still, the addition of Tegra Tshabola as a building block in the Class of 2022 isn’t something to scoff at. Tshabola has the potential to earn a top-50 ranking by the time that his class really comes into focus. Getting a commitment from him this early in the process is unequivocally a big win for Ohio State.

But the biggest win for April would have been if Ohio State had a chance to land 2021 standout J.C. Latham, who opted against making a commitment this month as he had been planning to do. That delay has allowed a number of other programs to move into the battle for his eventual decision, and what seemed like a clear-cut win for the Buckeyes heading into the spring is now a recruitment that has some interesting layers developing.

Ohio State has one offensive tackle committed in 2021, and Latham has been its top target at the position for the last year. Bringing him into the top-ranked recruiting class feels like a must-do for the Buckeyes, whenever it happens, as Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma and others are picking up the heat.

If anyone is wondering, both 247 LSU insiders said they know LSU is in his top two and think the choice will be Ohio State. They actually said family dynamics favor the Buckeyes.

Like I said, and I may be wrong, but it sure as hell seems like drumming up interest to me.
First you say don't get all riled up, then you say don't get riled up. Now you're saying don't get riled up. Which is it?!
