4-star 2015 signee Cecil Cherry Texas two-stepping away from ‘Horns

Back in February, Cecil Cherry was one of the most touted members of Texas’ 2015 recruiting class. Fast-forward six months, and the linebacker, just a handful of days into summer camp, has decided to pull the plug on his brief time with the Longhorns and transfer out of Charlie Strong‘s football program.

While UT has yet to address Cherry’s status with the team, his father has confirmed that his son has already requested a release from his UT scholarship.
