FL DL Shemar Stewart (Verbal Offer)

Gotcha, CB makes sense then. Just have a hard time looking at Miami and then Ohio State and choosing the former, especially given his position, but of course I’m biased.

As am I, but Diaz was able to land 2 local 5stars for 2021, so he's hoping that Shemar can continue keeping some of the best local guys in Miami. Not sure how well it'll work when teams like OSU and Bama put on the full court press. But Diaz is playing the hometown and immediate PT angle.

What makes you think we have a chance? Not doubting you, just that interview seemed quite vague. And I believe he's visiting Miami again this weekend

Probably shouldn't have said "real shot", as I'm not ultra confident at all. Just meant there is at least some hope with him visiting. Will be a tough pull but getting him up to Columbus for some 1 on 1 with LJ Sr gives us a shot imo.

FYI:

Shemar Stewart and 2024 QB Adrian Posse for Ohio State camp on June 9. Going up there with a coach
June 10th - Notre Dame with Posse and coach

June 13th - Miami with Pace teammates

Bus Tour with Pace team: Florida on June 14, Georgia on June 15, FSU on June 16, Clemson on June 17, South Carolina on June 18 and Alabama on June 19.

And I don't see him committing until after his season, so buckle up. The longer this goes, I think the better it looks for a team that he will see play for(and most likely win) a conference championship, a CFP semi and possibly a CFP final. Miami looks nice in the summer, but I think once his parents meet LJsr, that will also be a major aid to OSU.

Pretty much what I found interesting from the interview:
1. His parents are not football fans and they really don't understand any sports other than basketball.

2. Said he'll play in any defense but he feels like he'll be more productive in a 4-3.

3. Said he'll most likely wait until after his season to make a decision. So yeah, this will be a LONG fight.
