Fish Hatchery Connections?

Does anyone have any fish hatchery connections near Ohio? KY, IN, IL, WV, or PA? I'm looking for a source of purebred striped bass. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately ODNR produces white bass/striped bass hybrids, nothing purebred.

Shucks... Well.. they have to get their striped bass-- and the resultant-- sperm/eggs (whichever) from somewhere...

And that's what I'm working on now. Most hatcheries have a breeding pair(s), but aren't willing to give them up. Looks like a trip to the East Coast for me.

The best hatchery around is any bar near a college on Thursday (or appropriate college night). I've been in the fish business for a few years now, and that's my professional opinion. :)

I think you can buy them from the classifieds in the back of field and stream ... they will truck tem right to your house and dump them into your pond
