First tOSU offensive play from scrimmage

methomps

an imbecility, a stupidity without name
BCS NC Game: 11/7/08 8PM ET, New Orleans

What will be the first Ohio State offensive play from scrimmage?

Rules:
- Runs are attributed to the person who is tackled, scores, is run OOB, or fumbles, but not to any player who recovers a fumble (ie, an option play that is ultimately pitched to Saine is a Saine run)
- Any play with a forward pass is a pass play regardless of what later transpires
- Decision by vbookie is final

If it's a kick return for TD I may smash my plasma and walk in front of an oncoming car.
Send the plasma to me, I'll send you the walkman I just found in a box in my room, smash that. By that time you'll have calmed down and won't want to walk in front of a car, so I'll have saved your life... send me cash as a thank you.

What is the most memorable first play from scrimmage for you Buckeye people? Mine was 1997, #15 LSU vs #1 Florida, first play from scrimmage was a hand-off to Kevin Faulk -- BOOM -- he busts up the middle for 10 yards and a first down. Man, that did that get Tiger Stadium PUMPED!!! It stayed that way until the very end of the game, with LSU barely pulling off the upset, and sea of LSU fans storming the field and ripping down the goal posts!!! Man, I love beating Florida!!!

Was that SDSU bubble screen td (by them)_ the first play from scrimmage? If so, it certainly is one of the most shocking one I can remember in an OSU game.

The 80-yard TD was the first play from scrimmage in the 2005 game.

It did not take long, but the Buckeyes found themselves down only 11 seconds into the game. On the first play from scrimmage after a touchback to start the game, SDSU quarterback Kevin O?Connell hit Brett Swain down the right sideline and he raced 80 yards for the quick score to give the Aztecs an early 6-0 lead with 14:49 to play in the game. The PAT by Garrett Palmer was wide right.
