If I could have voted first choice 21 times I would have done so.

(And I always make sure that the fireworks are used responsibly, fired off in a rural area no homes adjacent, otherwise they are not seen to best effect).

Any one ever make carbide gas cannons?
Would get large, potato chip cans. Punch a hole in the bottom.
Put some carbide rocks in with water. Wait!
Wait!
Put fire to the hole in bottom!

(The following is a disclaimer of liability)
Taosman does not support or recommend the use of any fireworks, carbide gas cannons, leftover worldwar munitions, flamethrowers or even large candles. Oh! And stolen or bought Ex-Russian nuclear weapons.
Thank you,
Taosman

Where is the choice that fireworks were great until I reached the age of 18 and realized how juvenile blowing things up are?

Or how about they were cool until I elevated my social class above white trash?

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Dryden and buck4me are not my friends neighbors. They are a little redneck and get a little nuts this time of year....lol

:slappy:

I actually lived in Kentucky at the time (by Fort Campbell, KY) so you should have no worries.

Dry and I went to a place on Saturday to watch some fireworks. Half of the grand finale blew up in their tubes. Cool fire but sad grand finale.

I had a neighbor growing up who was a doctor. I have never seen an adult get so excited about setting off his own fireworks as this guy. Of course, that explains why his one son set their house on fire.

I worked with a mechanic years ago who almost lost an eye, seriously, from some illegal fireworks. He just happened to be wearing his safety eyeglasses at the time. It was just an accident he was not wearing his regular eyeglasses. I don't think he even owns regular glasses anymore.

Teen Injured By Lit Firecracker In Pocket

POSTED: 8:43 am EDT July 3, 2006

TAMPA, Fla. -- A 16-year-old from Tampa is recovering from burns he received when someone put a lit firecracker in his pocket.

Fire rescue officials said Derrick Underwood was with a group Sunday throwing fireworks at one another. The teen was seriously injured and taken to the hospital with second and third degree burns on his backside and thigh.

Reports said the teen ran for nearly a block with his pants on fire before removing them.
