I'm not going to post my entire poll (mainly because I don't have it on this computer), but for those who care, here are some highlights:
I had Ohio State at #3, the same place where they began the season. No way that Penn State is a better team than Ohio State
right now. I question whether Texas and USC are better teams at this stage of the season, but each ran the table during the regular season and played a pretty even game, so they deserve to be #1 and #2, respectively.
Teams that didn't the cut:
Oregon - The next time you wanna whine about getting screwed by the BCS, try winning your bowl game; the epitome of the loser mentality. One decent opponent, two losses - not top 25 material. It's a crime that the "real" pollsters has this bunch of scrubs at #12 in the country.
Miami - The U is now officially a second-tier, third-class program. No team that loses its bowl game 40-3 deserves to be in the top 25; the post game fight was a new low, even for the 'Canes. I only wish that Les Miles would have really run up the score on the Thugs.
Texas Tech - when you brag about hanging 80 points on some scrub 1-AA team, you'd better bring it when you go bowling; 10 points (only three in the first 57 minutes of the game) ain't much of a "high-powered" offense. Memo to the Red Raiders: Schedule some real teams next year, go 5-7, and stay home and watch the bowls on TV.
