Why do you think this? Is the gameplay just that great? Do they have good options? Online play good?
Just curious more than anything.
IronBuckI;1597406; said:Who's bought FIFA 10, and is it worth the money for someone that has just recently discovered that soccer is not the root of all evil in the known universe, and is actually a pretty entertaining sport to watch. Especially on Saturday mornings, before college football actually starts, while most channels are doing dumb [censored] college pregame shows, that I just can't stomach anymore.
I don't actually know much of anything about soccer, and figured that a video game with real(ish) plays, and situations (e.g. transfers) might not be a bad place to start.
I'm starting to figure out the language. I downloaded a copy of FIFA Manager 10 for the PC, and the depth is pretty fucking intimidating. I've had to do a lot of reading about the different european leagues, and transfers, and promotions, and relegations, and shit, but I think that I've muddled through ok. I still need to get an actual season started, because everytime I get further into the game, I find out that there's still a lot of stuff that I don't know. I was just unsure about whether the gameplay was good enough for me to fork out the $60 to actually play the game, rather than just learn through managing. The demo was only ok for me, but I think that actually having a manual available to tell me which buttons to push, would be very helpful.Merih;1597413; said:It's excellent. Ask Jwins...it has eaten up all my NCAA time
Seriously though its a FANTASTIC game. And a very involved manager mode...of which I could talk about my progress for months on end...but I'm not sure anyone speaks soccer here.

Having a manual, and a years worth of internet information on how to play the game is probably the best route for me right now. If I want to get crazy in depth manager stuff, I still have the PC version of FIFA Manager 10, but I don't understand most of the [censored] that's required to run a team, and even though I won my first friendly against a slightly better team, I still think that it's just a matter of time before I get sacked at the lowest level of English football.
