Field hockey hopeful as team gears up for season

In early August, most of the talk gripping the Buckeye nation is limited to the Horseshoe, script Ohio and the latest in the saga of the Maurice Clarett story. To many, the thought of other athletic events at Ohio State is merely an afterthought. If one were to look a little closer, the discovery would be made that there is more to OSU athletics than to whether Coach Tressel can beat Texas. The OSU field hockey team will begin play Aug. 26, and the Buckeyes are ready to get things under way.
