Parent Q & A: Marcy Smith

Humble and proud, Marcy Smith explains the ins and outs of her two sons, Connor and Spencer Smith. Only a year apart in school, these brothers are men of the outdoors, as one would except from suburban Cincinnati natives. With three years of dance classes under their belt, these brothers are poised and graceful, as well as strong and explosive. Blessed with the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities for the entire Buckeye Nation to see, these brothers encompass the tradition, people, and excellence necessary to succeed as a collegiate football player at The Ohio State University.
Q: What year did your sons start playing football?
A: Both boys started in the 7th grade at the middle school.
Q: When were you first aware that your sons had the potential talent to play at the collegiate level?
A: During their sophomore [high school] football season.
Q: Did they always dream of playing at OSU?
A: YES.

It was good to see Spencer Smith catch a TD pass two games ago. Always good to see walk-ons get in the game, and especially when they contribute the way Smith did.
