True story. My son was about 8 or 9, and I had introduced him to NCAA Football on the PS2. I walk in one day and he is playing what looked to be the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. He paused the game and started to exit out, and I asked what he was doing. Little shit was playing as UM against the Buckeyes. I said "Time for bed" (It really was) and reached down and turned the PS2 off not letting his game save, then turned and walked out of the room. He knew I was pissed.

not trying to question your parenting skills, but if it were me, it would have been my kid going out the window in that commercial - not his TV.
