Oh no, BigWoof. That lion isn't playing.

I had the luck to be part of a group (along with my family) to get to go "behind the scenes" at the Columbus zoo about 5 years ago.

We went back inside the tiger housing area to where they feed and house the tigers.

There were about 6 or 7 adults and as many kids - about 4 or 5 of the kids were small (2 - 7).


WITHOUT EXCEPTION every tiger in that place was locked - I mean LOCKED onto the smallest kids. Their eyes didn't budge from those kids for the first 5 minutes we were there.

It was a real eye opener.

People that try to keep these kinds of animals as pets are crazy, IMHO.
