Too soon old, too late smart
Out here in Cali, In-N-Out Burger always has a very long line. My favorite is the protein burger (with lettuce leaves instead of bun). Very sloppy, but that's why they make napkins. The other outstanding stop is Chick-Filet, and the lines (both in store and drive-thru) are just a tad shorter than In & Out. Both make quality meals. But my go-to is BK's jr whopper (2 for $6.00).
