OK, let's hear it. Who is the most out of his freakin' mind poster on BWI.

There's so many to choose from, but I think I've picked the cream of the crop for consideration.

Obliviax: He's put together some solid game, but perhaps loses points for changing his sig pic from a little girl's bike.

Bushwood CC: This guy is OUTRIGHT crazy, and he's not AFRAID TO let you know. PARAGRAPHS BE DAMNED; he is going to get HIS point across!

MaryluvsLions: Ahhh, MaryluvzLions. We haven't heard much from her lately, medication perhaps, but her comments about a lack of blood and screaming have earned a place in the BWI hall of fame, our hearts and this poll.

Sgt Carter: He came out of nowhere, but he came hard. If you don't believe that you're a Godless commie.

9fold: 9fold is the dark horse. He's not flashy like a Bushwood or a Mary, but he's slowly built a solid body of work based on traditional BWI values such as blind Paterno worship and a sincere desire that journalists would learn "the facts."

lubrano: an actual Board of Trustees member who ran literally upon a platform of Joe is God and WE ARE....BECAUSE HE WAS. Now, he's rallying the troops, burning the reports and soliciting items for the board of trustees from his fellow BWIers.

Mack_Daddy: You know him for his signature. You love him for his batsh#t craziness. He's an imbecile, a mongoloid and most likely a danger to those around him. He is BWI.

I want to vote [strike]Sobchek[/strike] Lubarano, but he needs a bigger body of work. Gotta go with Mack Daddy just for that signature and the fact that I think he might actually be Scott Paterno.

As I've said before, it is all about "character" - adversity reveals one's true "character". If you "believe in nothing" (i.e., expediency, moral relativism, ethical relativism, ends justifies the means.....Team Corbett/Freeh/BOT), then you will stand for anything (including the "raping of the truth and reputations"); but if you truly "believe in something" (i.e., ethics, "right and wrong", truth....Team Paterno), then YOU WILL STAND ON PRINCIPLE!

Spanier and this BOT are poster-children for lack of "character" and the very type of shallow, self-interested, self-promoting, wonk bureaucrats that have come to dominate our society and in typical imperial "the emperor has no clothes" style labeled themselves the "leaders"! They are NOTHING OF THE KIND! Leaders are COURAGEOUS and step into the frey regardless of risk to themselves - these cowardly, self-promoting, turds can only think of themselves; they care little about the indiscriminate damage they are causing others in their full-blown, obnoxious and disgraceful attempt to EXONERATE THEMSELVES by twisting and distorting the FACTS (i.e., make their spin "the record" and bury the FACTS such that they never see the light of day!). These "make u want to puke" people are sadly typical of today's SELFISH and SELF-INDULGED SOCIETY which makes me lament, "Where have all the Joe Paterno's gone?!?!". Not just our school, but our country is in trouble because we have entrusted them to the likes of the Spaniers, much of the BOT (not necessarily all), the Corbetts, the Noonans and the Freehs of the world -- I wouldn't trust these miserable creeps to cross the street to buy a donut with them let alone going to war with them in defense of the things we hold most near and dear (i.e., What the Founding Father's of this Country swore ON THEIR HONOR TO EACH OTHER).

Not only that, but as a direct result of Paterno REPORTING IT IMMEDIATELY UP THE CHAIN OF COMMAND AND CONTROL, the incident was reported DIRECTLY TO THE ALL POWERFUL CEO OF THE UNIVERSITY WHO HAD GRANTED SANDUSKY ACCESS TO PSU FACILITIES IN THE FIRST PLACE BACK IN 1998!!! Those are the facts - what else was Paterno supposed to do according to you Monday Morning quarterbacks? He was supposed to beat Sandusky up in the parking lot? WTF are you morons talking about that Paterno didn't try to "do something" the very instant he heard MM's report?? This bull$hit is complete antithetical to the DOCUMENTED FACTS, but hey, don't let that get in the way of your story and "axe grinding" agenda!!

Science "is" objectivity. Mathematics is simply the "language" in which science is expressed.


At its foundaion, is Mathematics. From Math, we get our first applied science discipline: PHYSICS. And, from Physics, we get the four pillars: Chemistry; Geology; Astronomy and Biology. All other disciplines stem from those four pillars.


Contrary to "popular" belief, science, religion and philosophy are all one in the same: they ALL try to answer the same questions. It's their METHODOLOGY that differs.


Scientific thought processes have ALWAYS been around. Sadly, it was either govt (i.e, emporers) or religion (i.e., Pope) that squashed scientific reasoning. And, as Dr Einstein so elequoently pointed out, it is Galileo Galilei who is the "father" of modern science. Many view Giordano Bruno as the "first" martyr of scientific thought. Truth is, he was the LAST martyr. There are probably 1000's of anonymous scientific martyrs the world will never know existed b/c the "Church of God" ended their lives too soon.


Pseudoscience masks itself as "science". We see this everday. Take for examples so-called documentaries: ghosts; demons; Bigfoot; etc...


They start with a conclusion, for example, WE ARE ALREADY BEING VISITED BY EXTRATERRESTIAL LIFE (UFO's) and then gather ONLY evidence that supports that conclusion. That's "pseudoscience". Some of the evidence may actually be credible. But, that doesnt mean the conclusion is actually supported.


Let's take a look at, say, the story of Noah...


...legend states there was a great flood that covered the Earth. Noah, knowing enough ahead of time, built a vast ship to house two of every species known to man. One day the water stopped. The water receded. And, Noah and family finally came ashore to land.


Many will cite the ship was found; that one could house two of every kind of animal; that floods do occur.


The scientific thought process, though, generates questions: where did all the extra water come from? Simple "area under the curve" will give someone a good estimate of the enormous water needed to cover the Earth. Salt water fish acn't live in fresh water and fresh water fish cant live in salt water. Then, there's the pH factor. How did the sealife survive? With the world covered in water, the pressure would've been enormous. How did plant life survive under such pressure? Not to mention lack of sunlight? Oxygen is produced by photosythesis. With no plantlife, how did Noah and family breath. The atmosphere would've been suffocating. Where did Noah find the trees to build the boat with and the manpower? Would've taken decades to build such a boat starting from scratch. Then, there's then issue of dysentery. Who fed and cleaned all the animals? How did Noah and family eat? With such a UNIVERSAL flood, geological deposits would've been "evenly" distributed throughoutn the world. Yet, we see 180 degrees the opposite


You see, no where did I say the story of Noah isn't true. Many of you reading what I wrote probably thought that way. But, I am saying, evidence does NOT support that there was a flood; that such an undertaking wouldn't have been possible; that plant life forever would've been destroyed; that such a flood would've made it improbable for anyone to survive.


Perhaps the story is true. But, there just aint enough evidence. Same can be said for demons; ghosts; UFO's; etc...


Now, what type of Freeh report are we going to see this Thursday? One that looks at ALL evidence and lets the evidence dictate its OWN conclusion (i.e., the scientific OBJECTIVE method). Or, as I foresee, a report that started with one simple conclusion, it was Joe Paterno all along and then only provides data that SUPPORTS that conclusion (i.e., Pseudoscience).

IgnoreI miss JoePa.ReplyI look at how Penn State and Joe Paterno are being torn apart, amazingly by Penn Staters (i.e., the BOT), and I am full of anger and sorrow. Through all of this, we have yet to see a smoking gun that can place the blame on JoePa, yet he has been the target of the BOT from the beginning. Forget the media's role for a minute. Most of them aren't Penn Staters and don't get what JoePa meant to Penn State and how special a man he was. They don't get it and they don't want to get it because they have their own agenda, but the BOT? I expect them to earnestly seek the truth but also show respect for JoePa, Penn State, its students, and its alumni. They do none of that. They disgrace us all. Most importantly, they disgrace JoePa, the man who did so much good for Penn State for so many years.


Sadly, we need JoePa now more than ever. He's gone. Now what do we do? I see no one at Penn State even remotely capable of carrying the torch. Bill O'Brien looks to have similar traits as Joe, but he's new. He isn't established. He is in no position to speak out against the injustices thrown upon JoePa and Penn State by the BOT. So where do we turn?


I miss JoePa.
