Favorite Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, and Elvis songs

Woody wore Sambas
All four of these are the absolute kings of rock. What are your favorites for each-

Stones-Paint It (Black), Playing w/ Fire, Gimme Shelter, Monkey Man

Beatles-I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but-Norweigan Wood, Helter Skelter

Zeppelin- 4 Sticks, In the Evening, Whole Lotta Love, Gallows Pole

Elvis-Viva Las Vegas, Can't Help Falling in Love w/ You

This question is more for a historical overview. My two personal favorite bands are Social Distortion-Telling Them, Bad Luck-and Sublime-40oz to Freedom, What i Got, Scarlet Begonias, Same in the End

Allright you two.. If you can't play the fucking game..... :wink2:

Anyway---

Stones-- Gimme Shelter... this week- Usually Sympathy for the Devil.

Beatles-- Helter Skelter this week-- or Come Together... its funny.

Zeppelin- The Immigrant Song... this week- Its too hard to choose... Probably Dazed and Confused... or if I'm feeling Hippy Zeppelin.. Fool in the Rain.

Elvis- All Shook Up- Maybe Heartbreak Hotel, though.

Hmmm.. While I acknowledge their place in music history, I don't particularly "like" them.

I would take the WHO over all of them for that era. But,

Zeppelin "just put on side 2 of Zep IV" - fast times at ridgemont high
Elvis - Blue suede shoes if I had to pick one I guess.
Beatles - just don't like them.
Stones - not a big fan of them either, though they made a nice come back in the what, mid 90's or so? That was decent.

I would rate em Stones, Elvis, Zeppelin, Beatles. The who kicks all thier arsses though! Pete plays a "mean" guitar.......

Beatles- Help, She Loves You, the whole Sgt. Pepper's album, Elenor Rigby

Stones (not much of a fan)- Start Me Up, Get Off of My Cloud, Paint it Black

Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven (duh), Whole Lotta Love, All of My Love, Black Dog, Rock & Roll (until Cadillac prostituted it), Kashmir, Immigrant Song

Elvis- Jailhouse Rock. Elvis??

I won't bother to list any songs, but you forgot Rush in your "absolute kings of rock" list....

I could pick several for each, but if I could only pick one...

Rolling Stones - Shake Your Hips (Exile on Main St.)

Led Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks (IV)

Elvis - Kentucky Rain (From Elvis in Memphis)

Elvis: ???
Stones: not a big fan of the Stones but I like Sympathy for the Devil
Beatles: Here Comes the Sun, In my Life, Hard Day's Night, Norweigian Wood (which I used to hate)...i think that Abbey Road, Rubber Soul and Sgt. Peppers were all good albums..

Now as for Zeppelin...I truly believe that no other band out there has such a high ratio of Awesome Songs : Songs put out. So many zeppelin songs are just amazing...i don't even know all the titles to some of my favorites but every track off the soundtrack for the Song Remains the Same is incredible. In My Time of Dying is aweseom...the Rain Song... Galllow's Pole.....way too many to try and list. I think Zeppelin is the best band of all tiiime..
