Favorite Bar in Columbus

usually whichever one I am in at the time.

I do like the beers at Barleys. I always liked their IPA quite a bit.

Sushi,
there is a micro brewery up in Lowell, I think called Lowell Brewery or something like that. They had some really good beers last time I was up there. Decent food too. I am guessing Lowell is a probably pretty far out of the way for you though.

I love the Bell's Oberon ale in the summertime. Probably my favorite wheat beer out there. Their stout is pretty good too.

Ah, the old North Berg on Fridays around three when we'd sit at tables and sing one dirty lymrick after another and drink 3.2 Black Label or Strohs and order pizza from the Venetian right next door..

Loved the North Berg. Once I was with about 4 other guys, and we all had our own pitcher. Somebody discovered the door at the top of the stairs was unguarded, so we decided to bolt and steal the pitchers, which were almost full. As soon as we got outside, somebody yelled from the stairway behind us. So we take off running, trying not to spill any precious beer while going down alleys and hopping fences. We got away, and didn't lose too much beer!

Thanks, I'll have to check out the Lowell brews. On their website they list an oatmeal stout I'd particularly like to try.

Are you thinking of Lou Al's?

I was in there one Thursday night. The place blew. There were maybe 15 people there. The food was overpriced and mediocre (at best.) Maybe its different on the weekends when the hog roast is going, but for dinner and a drink, I wouldn't go back.

Also, I don't think it was ever a Damon's. It used to be Rush Creek Sports Bar (or something like that) and before that, maybe 10 years ago, it was the Scoreboard. That place rocked. It was the only decent place near Westerville to catch a game.
