That is just so wrong. I'd never go for a woman wearing blue.

I'm a marathoner, and as far as running shoes go, I won't buy anything but Nike. I've tried Adidas, New Balance, and Asics, and none of them come even close to Nike.

Depends on your foot. Nikes certainly don't fit everyone the best. You're one of the few that I've heard that actually like them (although I know someone who bought Nike shoes just for the iPod feature). If you have a wide foot, Asics are great (which is what Manfred has used for years). My feet have a really high arch and pronate, and the running shop fitted me with Brooks. I recommend getting fitted at a running store before buying shoes.

I'm not a runner but New Balances seem to take forever to break in.

The last pair I bought will be the last pair I ever buy.

that's the thing about running shoes. many of them need to be run in to be broken in. some of the best running shoes i've ever owned had to be broken in by running in them. i wouldn't recommend running shoes to someone who won't be running in them anyway. they won't provide adequate support. running shoes are made for the specific type of weight and energy transfer from heel to toe. running shoes aren't all that good for standing around and walking. though there are running shoes that are fine for someone who doesn't run, walking shoes are far better. i also wouldn't judge a brand by one pair. for pretty much every brand, there are good and bad series. heck, even shoes in the same series can vary. i've had numerous new balance shoes and have been happy with them overall. i've returned a couple, but i've done that with other brands, too.
