Fata$$ shoppers treated rudely...

I used the hear that 'The customer was always right'. Those days are long gone.
So if you come in and decide that a 500 dollar stereo system should cost 50 dollars you are right just because you are the customer??

The fact is that someone making $7.00 an hour with no stake in the company doesn't care what you think about anything.

It's an expression. It refers to an attitude about customer service. But hey, you reside in the state of denial.

Both Sdgobucks and BuckeyeBill73 have good points:

Sdgobucks is right in that clerks have to put up with an in inordinate amount of shit from people who are little more than trailer trash, welfare monkeys, or cheap bastards who are so tight their asshole squeaks when they take a shit.

BuckeyeBill73 is right in that customer service is all but non-existent anymore. I could care less if the previous 587 customers were assholes to the clerk that I'm standing in front of...I'm Customer Number 588, so he/she had better not treat me like an asshole when I'm putting money into the coffers that pay his/her fat, zit-faced ass' wages.

I would defiantly agree with this. Just as the clerk doesn't care about what the customer thinks about the prices, the customer doesn't care that the clerk has had to put up with a bunch of dickheads the whole day. I have always treated people the way that I would want to be treated (as a customer, and as a clerk), and it has worked out fine for me. I treat honest polite people as I would expect to be treated if I acted honest and polite. I treat cheapass thieves the sameway I would expect to be treated if I acted like a cheapass thief.

First off I have to say that I am a multi- store manager/ market leader for a very large retail chain so I can say a little about this subject. Customers for the MOST part are pretty darn nice when you make your store an inviting fun place and that all starts with the employee's.Last week I had a lady come in and I offered to hold her 2 boxes on Cinnibons (sp) for her (joking because they are so good) and at first she was all pissed at me until she realized I was just goofing around. Sort of wierd that when you do smile have fun that people seem shocked by it all. Having said that the hardest job I have is finding fun, engaging employee's that will work hard for a little above minimum and have fun doing it. Another obsticle is balancing work load (a ton) and custy service with a limited payroll budget. Payroll and thieves are why I have little hair! LOL! As for pricing issues we all make mistakes from time to time so we just work it out.

Don't forget "Lavatory" used in substitution for bathroom.
Just as bad are the folks that use "bathroom" in substitution for toilet room. Hopefully you don't bathe there. Nor will you find a bathtub or even a shower. The correct term is toilet room.
A lavatory is the sink and (if there is any) adjoining countertop.
