Fastest you've ever been clocked by the fuzz

Was clocked at 97mph on a 35 on an public road that cuts through an army base in virginia (was actually doing 110). MP's were actually pretty cool because I pulled over and waited for them once I flew by...However, the District Court judge threw the book at me, $1,000 fine, 1 year restricted license.

84 in a 55 through Louisville, KY on my way home from Mardi Gras a few years ago. I began slowing down well after I realized that the posted speed had dropped from 65 to 55, and it's a good thing too, because getting clocked at 85 (full 30 mph over) instead of 84 would have been far more severe than the $180 speeding ticket I got.

The only ticket I've ever gotten in my life.

70 in a 55. He also caught me with a fake ID in my wallet (actually it was a real one that an older friend had given me as I was only a high school senior). Plus, I had at least one beer in me and I had skipped school to go get a better fake ID for a spring break trip. I ended up with no ticket!

I've driven past state cops in MI doing 85 in a 65 (before they changed it to 70) and they did not even move. They are finally starting to enforce the speed limit on the highways though.

84 in a 40 mph zone driving home from work through Darien, CT. Its a rich, uptight town that makes the speed limit lower to make it inconvienient for outsiders to pass through the town.

The road should be a 50 or a 55, and I got some clear space and gunned it. I got away with just a warning b/c the cop was really cool. I was completely honest with him, and didn't lie or try to get out of it.

He said that he could've thrown me in jail for doubling the speed limit.

I don't remember what my speeds were (I think the worst I ever got caught for was 81 in a 55), but I do know that three speeding violations within one year is a fourth degree misdemeanor... very expensive.

I used to have quite the lead foot, and I refuse to play the "I'm a girl, let me bat my eyelashes at you and cry so you'll feel sorry for me and let me go" card. I'd rather pay the fines. I had gotten away with a couple warnings previously, though.

I'm not going to own up to any of the specifics of past (well past, haven't had a ticket in over 5 years -- so what if I've been sick and not driving in that time -- it still counts!) speeding-related transgressions, but I will suggest everyone avoid Falls Church, VA. At least when I worked in that city, you can and would get ticketed for *anything* in excess of the posted speed limit. Which is to say, I was once ticketed (literally) for 28 in a 25 zone. 3 mph over...

My brother worked for a small township at one point as a cop and dealt with a local OH trooper often. This trooper literally led the state every year in speeding tickets issued. He would write you if you were 1 MPH over the posted limit. He wasn't being a jerk, just was very black and white about the law.

156 mph on my 2000 GSXR 750 a few years ago on ST. Rt. 180. When the Deputy finally caught up to us, he couldn't do anything but laugh that we didn't run.

i can pretty much guarantee you the deputy that busted you wasn't the one that clocked you . the one that clocked you didn't even start his car. by the time he would have gotten up to 60mph, had you kept your speed you would have been in the next state :p. he called the next 3 or so counties to have them keep a look out for you .

my worst is 87 in a 65.

I got clocked by a plane in Union county in the late eighties, the trooper that pulled me over said I was doing 75. All I could think was that he got me going uphill, stuck in traffic, with a hurricane force head wind. I was doing about 105, needless to say I didn't argue with the guy

excuse time; I was running really late for a date I had that night with this really hot Polynesian gymnast chick! (the ticket was well worth it!!!!).
