Fantasy Trade Question.

I'm in a league with 8 people, I finished dead last in this league last year. I have pretty good running backs already and 3 of them are off on week 6 which is the same week that Buffalo and Lynch would be off, My Qb's on My Roster are Culpepper, Losman, and Big Jen. The trade has been proposed to me, of My first rounf pick ( 1st overall), for McNabb and this guys first rounf pick (7th overall)

What does everyone think?

So this is a dynasty league and your draft only consists of the rookies entering this year?

I offer this response regardless of the league / draft setup:

McNabb has only remained healthy enough to start all 16 games once in the last five years. He missed 6 or more games 3 out of those five years. And he's only averaging 23 TDs in that span which sounds pretty good considering the injury shortened years, but that average is largely skewed by his 34 TDs in '04.

Health concerns would be my biggest reason for passing on this trade, but McNabb has really only had one great year in recent history to point to even if he does stay on the field, making the risk even less worth it.

With only 8 teams in the league there have to be some teams in the opposite situation than you (a few really good options at QB / weak RB corp.) Keep the #1 pick, take Adrian Peterson (assuming the rookie draft league) and offer one of your RBs to a team that really needs it for a better QB option.

I agree. The only times I've ever had a good team in fantasy football was when I was carried by outstanding running backs. I had Shawn Alexander a couple of years ago, and last year I had Ladanian Tomlinson. Other than those two players, I didn't have much on either team.

Use your pick to get a kick-ass running back. Either draft him or use it to trade for one.
