Fantasy Football Keeper Question

I am debating about what to do with my keeper league for NFL. And what better place to throw it out here to see what people think.

I am in a 12 team keeper league. Most years we keep 3 players, but every 4 years we can only keep one guy. (To kinda reset the league). So needless to say I can only keep one player. Now here is the dilemna.

I have Laurence Maroney and Peyton Manning. Which guy do I keep? I have the 3rd pick overall and with my projected players available I will be able to get either Willis McGahee or Travis Henry (or if someone screws up pick #1 or #2 I can get Rudi Johnson). Heck, if I wanted I could keep Manning and still pick Maroney at #3.

Conventional wisdom says keep Manning. But If I do I will be picking scraps for my 2nd RB and be screwed. BUT, if I keep Maroney I get 2 good RBs and still can pick a good QB later.

This would have been easier if Maroney still had the question of being hurt, but since he played last weekend and did well it is making me rethink.

So, after all that rambling... Should I keep Manning or Maroney?

Thanks everyone...

If I were you, I'd keep Manning. I question Maroney's durability. If he stays healthy though, he's a better keeper than any of the other backs you project to be available because of his youth and the team he plays for. I guess a lot of it depends on scoring and rosters, but I see Manning as the top player at his position, where Maroney projects for now to be in the second-tier of RBs, with other second-tier backs being available for you to draft.
