I'm a big believer in 'dance with the girl you brought'. That having been said, the San Fran defense ain't fucking around at all. I fancy myself a logical individual and the ATL defense is NOT good by any measure. Couple with the fact it's incredibly difficult to beat the same team twice in the NFL. Especially a division rival. Think 'Nawlins isn't pissed about that last ass beating they took? Especially given that Tampa hung it on the Dirty Birds the other day. So that would tend to indicate the last matchup being a fluke.
What Lamar is doing is ridiculous, but how many times have been seen seemingly unstoppable defenses get shut down and then the blueprint is finally crafted? The Ravens are still an offense built around protecting LJ from having to pass themselves out of bad situations. It's a gameplan meant to protect their QB from having to sling the ball 30+ times a game. At some point, they're going to run into a defense that is fedup with the bullshit and they're going to commit 8 and 9 man fronts then force Lamar to either consistently beat man coverage or read a zone beyond his primary.
It's going to happen eventually. While Jackson is a fun player to watch, he's no better a passer than Tebow, Kaep, Newton, etc etc.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Niners beat the shit out of LJ this weekend, even if they don't win the game.
edit: As for myself and my season.
Yahoo league - commanding 10-2 with a first round bye. Leading the league in scoring.
ESPN league - 6-6 after a 3 game skid because of BYE weeks and injuries to Kittle, Theilen and Howard. Made a bundle trade for Godwin and now that Kittle and Theilen look to be back, I'm hoping to go back to 200+ points a week. Yet STILL leading the league in scoring in that one as well.
