I'm likely to be 2-3 after this week unless Fozzy Whitaker, Cameron Artis Payne, and Gano can get me 40 points. Yes, I'm starting 2 RBs from the same team, and neither are the starters on that team. That's how bad my lineup is.
The only thing I can think of at this point is to sell off my best players for some depth. I tried trading Derek Carr last week since I have Tom Brady. I targeted all the teams with shitty QB situations. None of them would even hear me out. "I like Carson Palmer more" and "Dak is the QB of the future". So I floated the idea of combining Carr with Antonio Brown for a stud RB/WR combo in return. I know that's a lot to give up, but it's really the best WR plus a bench player, for 2 elite players. The guy I floated this to is a huge Steeler homer. He's also the guy I'm playing this week and one of like two other people in the league who know what the fuck they're doing.
He responded with Melvin Gordon and Demaryius Thomas. I know that's not as good as Carr + Antonio, but I'm looking at it as Gordon + Thomas > just Antonio....Carr isn't likely to play much for me the rest of the way. His is the only roster that could pull off a trade like this. Nobody else could part with a stud RB and be OK. He's got Leveon Bell and Jordan Howard, and Allen Robinson to plug into the flex after he gets off the bye.
I think it makes my team better, but it makes his team pretty unstoppable, and he's the last guy in this league I want to help.
I could push for any WR he's got......Thomas, Landry, Robinson, Travis Benjamin.
